Camp Green Lane Blog Post, July 27th

, July 27, 2021

Today’s blog is brought to you again by the Yankees. It’s been a few weeks since we checked in with the lower Senior Boys cabin and they’ve grown in many ways since the start of the summer.

They wanted everyone at home to know how much fun they’re having. They had a campfire last night, roasted smores and reflected on an amazing start to the summer—and took note of the few remaining days. The Yankees are, like everyone around here, excited for Color War to break. But they’re also making the most of the time before that, going on long guided lake adventures with canoes that they’ve grown especially fond of. Of course, they also wanted to mention the Slip and Slide that’s taken camp by storm—and they wanted to note they were the first to try it!

Right now, they’re preparing for the Senior Boys Greeks Leagues All-Star Game. Three campers were selected from four Leagues teams and will face a team of counselors on BB1 under the lights for evening activity tonight. (The campers are slight favorites.)

All the boys are preparing to announce, referee, keep score, coach and play against the counselors in an anticipated affair where everyone will have a role.

Today was a great Someday, packed with regular activities like Arts and Crafts and BBK, tennis and basketball. We had tater tots and eggs for breakfast and build-your-own hoagies for lunch. Yum!

Tonight, Inter Girls are headed out for an overnight, Inter Boys have a Scavenger Hunt, Cadets are set for Paint Night and Debs will try to Beat the Pro.

See you tomorrow!
