Day 2 of Color War

The second day of Color War was jam packed with cabin activities as the Green Team and White Team competed against each other in sea hunt, football, softball, soccer, kickball, soccer, gaga, BBK, hot shots, hockey, volleyball, and tire pull…what a day! After all these games, campers enjoyed some time in the pool to cool off and celebrate with their teammates following their intense games and then went to their respective rallies to continue to learn their songs for the Color War Sing on Thursday night.

Dinner was a fun affair as the Debs and Cadets competed in Mealtime Mania! Mealtime Mania is a series of fun, silly mini-games where campers square off against one another in front of the whole camp in the dining hall. This time, Debs and Cadets had to push cups across the table using only the air from a balloon! The whole camp was cheering as loud as possible in support of their teams. Such intense cheering for wacky games is one of the things I love most about Color War.

Following dinner, both teams raced against the clock to complete all the challenges laid out for them in the 2018 Color War Scavenger Hunt! From decorating cakes to paddle boarding around the lake, campers had to do it all! In the end, the Green Team won the hunt by only one point!

Last night’s evening activity was the super intense male staff basketball game. Counselors wait all year to play their hearts out in front of their campers, and campers love cheering on their counselors. The White Team finished the game ahead of the Green Team in a thrilling game.

Stay tuned for further Color War updates!
