Camp Green Lane Blog Post, July 30th

, July 30, 2024

This evening is the 10th running of The Amazing Race. In this event, the female camper captains race against each other to complete a series of mental and physical challenges with clues spread across camp.

They must perform or solve them on BB1 in front of their entire team. It’s exciting. It’s terrifying. And it’s something these girls have been looking forward to for years.

Last night it was all about the male Camper Captains at Rope Burn. Today is all about the ladies, who have been drilling all day in preparation for a pretty big challenge. They were out on BB1 earlier, working on their free throws; and they’ve been quizzing themselves on all kinds of camp trivia that might come up in the race. You never know what might be asked!

Green Work Camper Captains Ellie Heater and Ella Passante will go up against

White Play’s Kylie Ginsberg and Noa Gabay in a race that typically finishes with the competitors smashing a shirt free from a bucket of ice, putting it on and lining up for a free throw on the basketball court.

Good luck, girls!

In other Color War news, today the boys held their swim meet and the girls ran track in the morning. There were more cabin activities in the afternoon and this evening will be The Amazing Race, Divisional Relays and then Greeks basketball on BB1 to finish the day.

Tomorrow’s signature events include the Spelling Bee and Campfire Skits, with just a few days left before Color War concludes Thursday night.
