Camp Green Lane Blog Post-September 19th

I can’t believe it has already been over a month since we all sat together by the lake and reflected on the summer of 2016 at Firefly.  Luckily, in my opinion, time has moved pretty fast, and guess what– only 9 months till will be back!  I recall when I was a camper, as soon as we got home from camp, I used to find every excuse possible to see my camp friends.  Still to this day, I always spend the night of the last day of camp/first day home with my camp friends.  Whether it is seeing a movie, getting dinner or just laying around I need to see camp people. I need to hold on to summer for as long as I possibly can. Anyone who goes to Camp Green Lane knows how I feel.  You just want to stay in the CGL bubble for a long as possible.

As we start to move into fall, plans have started coming together for the summer of  2017.  We are thinking of amazing new evening activities and special events to add to the camp calendar! We’re looking at all the trips and are working to make the daily program as great as it could be.  We are looking forward to making the summer of 2017 better than 2016 (if that’s even possible.)  Counselors are starting to ask for contracts and I know all the campers can’t wait to get some camp news.
