Camp Green Lane Bog Post, August 11th

Last night in the Globe, we held our Survivor Sing. Every division in camp performed an original song in the final Survivor event of the summer. On Friday night at Banquet, we’ll find out who the winner of Sing and Survivor is and they’ll be crowned the Division of the Year!

While we have to wait for that winner, today will be a long day and night of championships, awards and trophies! All of our Leagues playoff games will be over by lunch today, and every team that won their division’s Leagues championship will have a pizza party for lunch!

Later tonight is our Awards Night when we’ll break off by division and start saying goodbye. We’ll hand out trophies tonight to all of our Tournaments winners, which means if your child won a ping pong tournament or threw a softball the furthest, they’ll receive a trophy to take home!

Tonight we’ll also hand out plaques to campers who were here for their third summer or more this year, a tradition that goes back decades.

There’s a lot going on here today, but sadly, today is also our last regular day of cabin activities for the summer. Tomorrow, we’ll start packing. Tomorrow night is Cabaret, a buffet-style, themed dinner followed by the last dance of the summer. Then Friday we’ll hold Banquet and the emotional Firefly ceremony to close out an incredible summer.
