Camp Green Lane Newsletter-March 28th

Guess what? Less than 90 days till summer 2016! I know we are all super happy to be in the double digits in the countdown to the first day of camp. I don’t know about all of you, but time has really flown by for me.  As we continue to work on making sure this summer is going to be truly amazing I started thinking about how lucky we really are to be a part of the Camp Green Lane Family. In last couple weeks every time I see someone post a new picture with camp friends, or something old from last summer it puts a smile on my face. It is so nice to see campers’ young and old, alumni, upper staff, and counselors all reaching out to each other to share a memory or hang out over spring break. I get genuinely excited when I see an old color war picture posted. I want to jump up and scream song lyrics at the top of my lungs when I see a video of a lunch dance party. Looking at pictures of camp friends by the lake, in the dome, sitting in the circle I think about how lucky we are that we get to be there once again very soon.

So as we count down these last 88 days together take some time to think about how lucky you are to understand all the awesome things that happen at CGL. Think about what you are going to do to make summer 2016 a great one. We cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces in the circle again. So get excited!
