Camp Green Lane Summer Blog Post- July 4th
Happy 4th of July! Today has been a perfect Red, White, and Blue day. We started our celebration last night with fireworks at the Iron Pigs game and the display was spectacular! Today we woke the camp up using the song “Party in the USA” for our first 10 o’clock breakfast. Everyone got out of bed and put on their favorite USA clothing. Everyone has been so spirited all day celebrating our country. In the dining hall we had our first dance party of the summer. All the campers and counselors got out of their seats and danced together. It was a blast. Always nice to see the older campers take the younger campers and teach them the dances we do to camp favorites like “white houses”. It truly has been a great day to celebrate America’s birthday in camp together.
Tonight we have our first overnight! The Deb girls will head up to field 5 to set up tents and cook their dinner. The Inter Boys and Senior Boys have their second annual 4 on 4 Pal basketball tourney. The Inter Girls and Senior Girls have a Pal scavenger hunt. Finally the Cadets will be doing Shark Tank and the Greeks are playing Singled Out. Happy birthday America!
