Dear Camp Families,

As Thanksgiving quickly approaches I think this is a perfect time to reflect on how lucky we are to have Camp Green Lane in our lives. Last Tuesday, many Camp Green Lane families were part of something I think is truly special, camp T-shirt day. As I scrolled on Facebook and Instagram through all the pictures of people showing their Camp Green Lane spirit I noticed something pretty cool, our camp family is huge. There are so many people that are connected to Green Lane in one way or another and they were all proud to rock the Green and White. There were current campers wearing everything from cabin shirts, and color war shirts to the going home shirt from last summer. There were Green Lane staff posting pictures in their spirit jerseys, or even staff shirt pictures from this summer. Finally there was 1 last group of people posting their camp T-shirt pictures, all the Green Lane alumni. We saw old staff, campers, upper staff and even just Green Lane parents putting on some CGL clothes to show their camp pride. Seeing all these people so proud to say they are a part of the Camp Green Lane family is very special and we shouldn’t take it for granted. So as you eat your Thanksgiving Turkey with your family, think about how lucky you are to be a part of the CGL family too. Think about the 1000’s of people you are connected to by your shared love of our summer home. 7 weeks is all it takes to keep us connected so keep showing how much Camp Green Lane means to you.

Everyone at Camp Green Lane is thankful each and every person reading this blog is a part of our CGL family! So from our Camp Green Lane Family to your family at home, we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours in camping,

Aunt Jessie
